Burbank is a city in the San Fernando Valley, part of the Greater Los Angeles Area, in Los Angeles County, California just north-east of the city of Los Angeles, in the United States.

New Hampshire-born dentist David Burbank purchased the land that became the township of Burbank in 1867 and established a sheep ranch on it. The township was founded in 1887 and the City of Burbank was incorporated in 1911.
